About Us - A History of BBC Marysville

Bible Baptist Church began as a mission in August of 2007 from the Bible Baptist Church of Wilmington.  We held our first month of services at the Marysville High School conducting a 2pm Sunday afternoon service.  In Sept. of 2007, BBC moved to the American Legion facility for its services.  The first Sunday morning service we had 48 people in attendance, and since that time we have grown to averaging 100 people in our Sunday morning services.  The Lord has blessed us with tremendous growth over the past 10 months and we are now looking forward to reaching more people in our area.  We have seen over 175 people come to know Christ, as a direct result of BBC Ministries, since we began as a mission in 2007.  On March 30, 2008 BBC organized as an independent Baptist Church with 67 charter members.  On April 1st BBC signed a two year lease to occupy the building that was formerly known as the Stockyard Restaurant at 404 Oak St. in Marysville.  This permanent location will allow the church to have more of a presence in the community and will open up more doors of ministry as time goes on.
